Moonstone

Earning its name from the iridescent, moon-like sheen it is prized for, the moonstone is the ultimate crystal representation of the Full Moon. Adored by humankind for millennia, it was believed to derive from solidified beams of actual moonlight by ancient Roman, Greek and Indian cultures. The moonstone is therefore closely associated with the lunar Gods and Goddesses; according to Hindu belief, the crystal is a representation of the energy of the lunar deity, Chandra, on earth.
