A vibrant, translucent stone, carnelian is said to restore balance and stability. Naturally ranging in shades from pink to brown, the red-orange hues of our chosen stones bring lively warmth and energy. Carnelian is thought to bring courage and protection; ancient warriors wore amulets of carnelian to help them conquer their enemies. The ancient Egyptians called carnelian the setting sun, associating its brighter red shades to feminine energies, and its darker shades to male energies. It has traditionally been worn to enhance passion, desire and love.
